The paradox found in HEALING childhood trauma

There is a strange paradox found in healing childhood trauma. The place of our acute pain arises from our interior feelings, memories, and experiences. We are the source of our own pain and suffering. At the same time, the source of refuge, peace and serenity also lays within the depth of our interior. We are containers for both anguish and the beauty, the anxiety and the joy. As we gradually and slowly are able to be with our pain, we slowly discover that our vast interior houses holds so much more than just pain. We become our own source of sanctuary and our own source of peaceful contentment. Instead of running away from ourselves we can gently and lovingly towards ourselves.
